Peripheral nerve surgery

Peripheral nerve surgery is a surgical intervention that aims to remove mechanical pressure on a nerve, release nerve structures, and restore normal function. This procedure is often performed on patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve damage, or other peripheral nerve diseases.

Using local or general anesthesia, the surgeon releases the peripheral nerve from tissues that are pressing on it, such as adhesions, inflammation, or structural damage.

This surgery is recommended if the patient is experiencing pain, numbness, muscle weakness, or other neurological problems caused by nerve pressure.
